वहीं, उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने लिखा, "ओणम के शुभ अवसर पर हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं।"

उन्‍होंने कहा, "समुदायों को परंपराओं की डोर में बांधने वाला, ओणम करुणा और बलिदान के मूल्यों का एक मार्मिक अनुस्मारक है। यह हमारे कृषक समुदाय के अथक प्रयासों का सम्मान करने और प्रकृति की कृपा के प्रति आभार व्यक्त करने का भी एक अवसर है।"

उन्होंने आगे कहा, "ओणम की भावना सभी के जीवन में खुशियां और समृद्धि लाए।"
